ZINC STEARATE is a white, hydrophobic powder with a slight, characteristic odor. Eklub (ZS) improves the early colour when used in PVC and additionally gives good lubricating action. It functions as an acid scavenger and processing aid in certain polyolefin applications. In addition, it improves the abrasiveness of sandpapers, and acts as a matting agent in paints and coatings. In construction, powdered it is utilized as hydrophobic agents for plasters. It is also widely used as lubricants, slipping agent, heat-stabilizers, mould releasing agent and accelerants in plastic.
