Calcium Stearate is one kind of stearate soap salt. It is white, fine powder, insoluble in water. When mixed with hot, strong mineral acids, they decomposed into stearic acid and corresponding Calcium salts.
Eklub Ca.S is used widely as a stabilizer for PVC resins and lubricant for plastic moulding powders or tablets. Its use is also recommended in manufacturing of emulsions, cements, pencils, construction chemicals, paint flattening agent, resin coated sands , foundry chemicals. It is used as a decaking agent in food items like onions and cosmetics. Use of Eklub Ca.S is also seen as a lubricating agent in paper and paperboard coating compositions, iron wire drawing and leather cloth manufacturing as well. Its use has been extended as a neutralizer, colour stabilizer, reducer of fiber breakage and de-agglomerate in PP and HDPE applications.
